Power Verse……
“When
I consider Your heavens, the work of
Your fingers, the moon and the stars,
which You have ordained, what is man
that you are mindful of him, and the son
of man that you visit him? For You have
made him a little lower than the angels,
and you have crowned him with glory and
honour.” Psalm 8:3-5

Robert Schuller, the founding pastor of the
internationally renowned Crystal Cathedral
in California, was in a meeting where he was
speaking about positive Christianity, when
someone asked the following question; “You
mean Jesus Christ is alive and real and
communicates with you? You mean he gives you
your ideas and your energy? If that is true,
why doesn’t He prove to me today that He is
alive?” His answer, “He does, every single
day.” Yet even more than that, God wants us
to trust Him. If you knew all the answers to
life and could prove God’s existence through
mathematical equations, you would have a
science, not a religion or a faith. Even
science must maintain a bit of awe when
considering the universe if it is to remain
open and creative.
To fully appreciate life, we must always
maintain a sense of wonder. As the hymn
writer so beautifully expresses the true
worshipper's experience in the presence of
God, “Lost in wonder, love and praise.”
There must always be some sort of mystery in
life. God forbid the day we have no more
unknowns, no more mountains to conquer, no
more challenges to stretch us, no more
moments that simply take our breath away
leaving us speechless. Because when there
are no more unknowns, there will be no room
for faith.
I invite you to take a few minutes out from
the busyness of life and close your eyes. In
your mind face Jesus Christ, pray to Him,
talk to Him. He’s alive. He’ll hear you.
This could be the moment of the beginning of
a new faith for you. And a new faith will
mean a new and awesome life! Today, Jesus
can become the best friend you ever had in
life or eternity!

Prayer…..…..Lord,
I seek an authentic experience of
Your presence. Break through my
doubt and indifference, and help me
grow daily in spiritual strength and
in knowledge of You |
