Never too late for a new Beginning….
"The Bible is a
wonderful book. It is the truth about the Truth. It is not the Truth. A
sermon taken from the Bible can be a wonderful thing to hear. It is the
truth about the truth about the truth. But it is not the truth. There
have been many books written about the things contained in the Bible. I
have written some myself. They can be quite wonderful to read. They are
the truth about the truth about truth about the Truth, but they are NOT
the Truth. Only Jesus Christ is the Truth. Sometimes the Truth can be
drowned in a multitude of words. "Richard Wurmbrand, Author of
"Tortured for Christ"

Confirmed sceptic
embraces Christian Faith!
Many
people have made a mess of their lives; have regrets about passed and
present decisions and actions. They wish there was some way they could
start again. There is; thanks to The Bible. One lady made the discovery
and she expressed her wonder in these words:
I have found in the Book, that wonderful place,
Called the Land of Beginning Again.
Where the sins of the past are remembered no more
And the years, locust-eaten, the Lord doth restore.
All our filthy rags changed for garments of Grace,
And the Soul is begotten again!
With a love shed abroad in our hearts by the Spirit
It is easy to love one another;
That love thinketh no evil, it envieth not,
Is so humble, unselfish, with kindness so fraught.
That transformed by that love, as in Heaven above,
We shall love one another for ever.
Oh, I wish, yes, I’ve found, that wonderful place
Called the Land of Beginning Again.

Have
you made this discovery? One confirmed sceptic who lived among
intellectual atheists in England did, listen to his testimony.
I regularly wondered why this helpless Babe (Jesus)
was thrust into a world at a time when Roman greed, Jewish hate, and
Greek subtlety would combine to crush Him. And yet this powerful,
devastating combination ever known in history served only to advance the
cause of the Infant who was born in a Bethlehem stable.
No unbeliever could tell me why His words are so
charged with power today as they were nineteen hundred years ago. Nor
could scoffers explain hoe those pierced hands pulled human monsters
with gnarled souls out of a hell of iniquity and overnight transform
them into steadfast, glorious heroes (of the cross)…..No agnostic could
make clear why seemingly immoral empires pass into oblivion, while the
glory and power of the crucified Galilean are gathering beauty and
momentum with every attack and every age.
Nor could any scoffer explain, as Jesus himself so
daringly foretold, why by every means possible, His words are piercing
the densest forests, scaling the highest mountains, crossing the deepest
seas, and the wildest deserts, making converts in every nation, kindred
tongue and people on earth.
No doubter could tell me how this isolated Jew could
utter words at once so simple that a child can understand them and so
deep that the greatest thinkers cannot plumb their shining depth. The
life, the words, the character of this strange Man are the enigma of
history. Any naturalistic explanation makes Him a more puzzling paradox,
a fathomless mystery.
But I
learned that the paradox was plain and the mystery was solved when I
accepted Him for who he claimed to be – the Son of God, come from Heaven
a Saviour of Men but above all my own personal Saviour. I learned to
thrill at the angel’s words; “Behold…..unto you is born this
day….a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” Now I have learned the great
truth that “though Christ a thousand times in Bethlehem be born, if He
is not born in you, your soul is not at rest.”
Earle Albert Rowell. Prophesy Speaks:
Dissolving Doubts.
Feel challenged, convicted, have a desire to know more? Then
thoughtfully consider the following Scriptures:
Jesus said:
“Behold I stand at
the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will
come into him……...” Revelation 3:20
“…If
you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in your
heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with
the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession
is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, ‘Whoever believes in Him
will not be put to shame’……for whoever calls on the name of the Lord
shall be saved.” Romans 10: 9-13
“But
as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children
of God, to those who believed in His name; who were born not of blood,
nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John
1:12-13
