God has created us for Himself, and our heart will not be at peace until it finds rests in Him”      Saint Augustine

God's 5 Step Plan for Salvation…..

What is it ?

There is a God who loves you as His child and wants you to experience an authentic, meaningful relationship with Him. He is your only answer to your search for relevance. He will fill the aching emptiness of your life, and help you overcome your lonliness your faults and fears, and give you peace and purpose hear and now, and a gilt edged guarantee of eternal life.

He is God the Creator of the universe, including you. Your life will not be complete or be at peace until you experience that personal, authentic relationship with the God who created you.

How Can We Know This?

God is the Author of The Bible, his “Manual for all human life.”

The Bible declares :   “I (Jesus) have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10

Giving you abundant life required the supreme sacrifice:  “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

God wants fellowship and a loving relationship with you. What a magnificent gift, yes gift, that God the Father has given mankind, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:2:  however, if God gave His own Son to provide a plan for peace and purpose in your life why don’t more people accept what he has designed for us to receive? The answer is found by taking the next step.

Being at peace and living in harmony with God is not automatic, because by nature you are separated from God. There is a gap, a chasm, a divide between God and mankind. This separation has come about by people throughout the ages having made selfish choices to disobey God. This separation is the “something wrong” that is at the very root of our selfishness, loneliness, emptiness and dark feelings. Through many immoral and amoral acts, thoughts and attitudes we continue to grieve the One who care for us the most. That means ALL of us, no matter how moral or upright we may appear on the surface. If you are honest with yourself you will know this to be true. These choices continue to cause separation from the One who made us and loves us. The Bible calls this separation sin.

The Bible declares that the result of sin is death. “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end in the way of death.” Proverbs 14:12

God says… “But your iniquities have separated you from your God: and your sins have hidden His face from you. Isaiah 59:2

Paul the apostle states in Romans 3:22 “For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God.”

Every day we hear of people who are rich, famous, achievers, top sportsmen and women – people, who on the surface, appear to have the very best life can offer –and they try to fill the empty void in their lives with materialism, they might try charitable works, morality, world religions, yet they remain empty and unfulfilled; because only God, through His Son Jesus Christ, can totally fill that emptiness. That leads to the next step.

Because God loves us, he cannot allow this split to remain. But He is a perfect God, who cannot allow our sin to go unpunished without compromising His perfection. The sin-bill must be paid. So to bridge the gulf between God and us He came to earth as a human being, Jesus Christ. He died on the Cross for our sins, and rose in triumph over the grave and eternal death.

The Bible declares;… “For Christ also suffered once for sin, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God.” 1 Peter 3:18

There is only one way provided:…  “For there is one God and Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.” 1 Timothy 2:5

Jesus said:    “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6

God has provided the only way. Jesus Christ paid the penalty once and for all for our sin and rebellion against God by dying on the cross, shedding His blood, and rising from the dead to justify and reconcile you back to a right relationship with God the Father.

The next step will be the biggest decision you will ever make in life.

You cross the bridge into God’s family when you trust in Christ alone to forgive you of your sins and to abide in your heart to be your Saviour and Lord. What an incredible exchange: your worst for God’s best! There is no one-way relationship. God has done his part when his Son died on the Cross, now it’s your move. Turn TO God means you also turn FROM something. As you turn to Christ you “repent” which means you surrender your old life with all its sin, for a new life in Christ committed to doing things God’s way.

The Bible is very clear:  “Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him and he with Me.” Revelation 3:20

“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
 Romans 10: 9

“”For whoever calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved” Romans 10:13

Are you willing to let go of your burdens and sins irrespective of their enormity?

Are willing to turn to God and repent of your sins?

Are you willing to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour?

If your answer is YES then progress to the final step.

Give thought to what you are about to do. It will be a life changing experience with eternal consequences. But you will not regret it.

If you have arrived at step 5 there will be something inside of you encouraging you to finish what you started. This is the “knocking at your heart’s door”.

This may be the first time you have prayed or shown any interest in God or Christianity. This is why the prayer below is given as an example.

By praying this prayer, confessing your sins, and receiving Jesus Christ into your heart, God has fulfilled His promise of welcoming you into His family as His forgiven child. The Bible gives you this assurance:
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believed in His name.” John 1:12

Dear Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God, I believe you came to earth in human form. I believe you died for me on the cross and shed your blood for my salvation. I believe you rose from the dead on the third day and ascended to Heaven. I believe you will return to earth again one day.

Dear Jesus I confess that I am a sinner, forgive my sin. Cleanse me now with your precious blood. Come into my heart. Save my soul right now. I give you my life, and I receive you now as my Saviour Lord and God. I am yours forever, I will serve none other. I no longer belong to this world, I belong to You, and I am born again. AMEN!

If you have sincerely prayed that prayer you have been born again into the family of God, and we want to rejoice with you.

Please let us know at contact@harness-the-power.org so that we can help you on your journey through the Christian life.

Do the following as quickly as possible:

  1. Purchase a Bible in a translation that is comfortable for you to read.

  2. Start to read it every day, asking God to give you spiritual understanding as you read.

  3. Pray every day, asking God to reveal His plan for your life.

  4. Start to attend a Bible based church where the Word of God is faithfully preached.

  5. Start witnessing, telling others about the decision you have taken, particularly among your immediate family.

  6. Try to make friends with other born again Christians in your neighbourhood, at work, or within your social circle. You will find tremendous strength and encouragement from sharing your experience.
